Psalm 91 – Part 2: Our Needs — Psalm 91 is first and foremost an invitation to intimacy with God. It’s easy for fears and needs to drive a wedge between us and the Father, because they tend to create anxiety when not met. We have to protect the beauty of intimacy with the Father, as it can be so easily lost in the lens of religion, leading to disappointment, disbelief, and bitterness toward God. Whenever intimacy with God is lost to these things, it means we lack maturity in our relationship to Him and are not secure in His love for us. Take note: These are your battleground regarding maturity and sonship with the Father.
