Disciples Know How to Fight – Part 3 — Disciples engage in spiritual warfare, bringing heaven to earth in broken, sick, and oppressed situations. We are meant to live in response to Father God through the leadership of the Holy Spirit and the power of the name and redemptive work of Jesus. We are never meant to live in response to the enemy or in respect of his efforts. We engage spiritual warfare under the leadership of Jesus, and function from the heart of God. Simply driving social justice campaigns apart from these are based in humanism and are doomed to corruption of values and unintended and unforeseen harm. We do not have to be perfect. But we do need to be surrendered and rightly seated under God’s authority. The authority of God under which we surrender ourselves becomes the same authority we wield against the enemy. Our greatest advantage is our purity. Our greatest weapon is our praise.
