Disciples Choose Honor Over Shame — Disciples are meant to live their faith, love, values, and message openly before a watching world. Shame tries to keep us from boldly living in openness to the world around us. The voice of the accuser attempts to drive us to be silent or to water down the power of the Gospel to fit the environment around us. However, shame never drives us to be our best or to walk in victory. It merely tries to push us down and keep us from running into freedom. Voices and experiences of the world attempt to drown out the power of the Gospel to those living in it. Faith, love, and truth are constantly being attacked or warped by the accusations of those who do not understand or agree with its values.
