What Are You Running From? – God refines what is precious to Him. You are precious to Him. We naturally run from the things that stretch us and make us uncomfortable or vulnerable. God uses these things to refine us. Sometimes we run from God because we know He will not refine us in a manner we wish for Him to do it. We should keep our eyes on the fact that the refining process makes us more functional, valuable, and desirable. Refinement brings purity, and purity brings closeness with Jesus. If you are running from the Lord, talking about it is not enough. You must face Him where your heart is raging in order to repent and allow Him to address the wild, painful places of your life.
