His Voice Is ESSENTIAL — The story of the Book of Acts shows the critical importance of the power of God and the voice of God regarding the daily direction of the church. Although the state of the modern American Church does not resemble the Acts Church, we must grieve the lost investment into a cycle without power, encouragement, and the voice of the Holy Spirit.
In this sermon, we continue to examine how the Church predicted a soon-coming famine and proactively responded to potential needs with an ongoing collection of donations. This time period of collections occurred as the culture was persecuting the Church. However, the Church was undaunted by perception. The believers continued to show the love of God, believe for a greater outpouring on society, and to meet needs around them.
Then we must move back toward scriptural precedence. Let’s be a church that cries out to hear God and respond to His direction. Please stop coming to church to get fed. Please start coming with the purpose to call on God so that the world can be reached and fed. Throughout the process, love must prevail as we encourage each other toward the greatness God has in store for us both together and individually.
